The short version. We collect only what we need to run the waiting list and review your lease. We don't sell your data, we don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we delete your documents when you ask.
Who we are
Use Us is a trading name of The Content Group Limited (company number 10850515), Second Floor, 289 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, London N13 4XS. We are the controller of the personal data described here, under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. What we collect
- Waiting list. Your name, business name and email address when you join.
- Messages. Whatever you include when you email us.
- Documents for review. Your lease and any related documents. These can contain personal data, such as names of tenants, guarantors or landlords.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider records basic request data, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and secure.
Why we use it
- To manage the waiting list and invite you to use the service. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you asked to hear from us.
- To carry out a review you have asked for and send you the report. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you, or taking steps you asked for before one.
- To keep business and accounting records. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.
We will only send you marketing beyond the waiting list if you agree to it, and every message lets you opt out.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers, who process data on our instructions:
- Netlify, which hosts this site and receives waiting-list form submissions.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this site. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.
- Our AI and email providers, which we use to analyse documents and to correspond with you.
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK law allows, such as the UK-US data bridge or standard contractual clauses. We never share your documents with your landlord or anyone on the other side of your deal.
How long we keep it
- Waiting-list details: until you ask us to remove you, or two years after we last heard from you.
- Documents for review: for as long as we need them to complete your review and answer follow-up questions, and deleted when you ask.
- Business and accounting records: six years, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to how we use it, and you can ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@useus.ai. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. We don't use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. If you dismiss our cookie notice, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage on your device; it is never sent to us. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Changes
We will update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top.
